IN-BETWEEN, an Active Aging Center aims to foster social interaction. Its design is promoting an active lifestyle that contributes to social connectedness within the community and is aligned with the active aging center ABC goals such as befriending and buddying, as well as showing care and concern towards the elderly.

With the growing number of ageing population, the number of eldercare centres is expected to doubled by 2025. The government is working with different organizations to provide a wide range of eldercare facilities with services to support elderly for ageing across Singapore. Despite having a wide range of eldercare facilities to support ageing, a group of elderly still feel they were socially disconnected.
